I found a blog posting by Nourished and Pretty about how to make cashew and date bars. Well, we had to do some substitutions based on what we had in the house.
Here’s our take on this recipe:
- 1/2 cup pitted dates
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup coconut powder
- Small handful of dark chocolate chips
Combine in your food processor and mix! It will be sticky, but not sticky enough. Flatten the mixture and slice into bars. We put them in the oven at 350ºF for 10 minutes and covered the bars in rice syrup.
