Like a squirrel preparing for the future, my lovely wife Jen made some excellent vegan yakimandoo (만두) way back on Jan. 5 and put it in the freezer. All that was needed to cook it today was to fry it up in some oil. Yeah. I know. Fried foods are not heart healthy. But sometimes you have to splurge. It just tastes too good!
I feel really guilty every time I use oil in cooking. If you’ve ever seen Dr. Esselstyn’s video … he recommends not even using olive oil!
So, yeah. I had a lot of oil today 😦
But on the bright side, my almond cheese is setting nicely in the fridge! I’ll post photos later tonight when I drop that in the dehydrator.
