Lately I’ve been experimenting with soaking my oats. The longer you soak, the less time you have to cook it in the morning. Last night, I put a pint of water in with a 1/2 cup of steel-cut oats. At 6 a.m. this morning, I poured it into a saucepan and cooked on medium heat for five minutes. The result was some perfect oatmeal! Normal cooking time is 20 minutes. The time isn’t the only benefit. The texture is smooth and soft. It even tastes richer. Soaking your oats is the way to go!
By the way, 197.0 lbs. this morning. I’m just sayin’.
