I found a good article on oatmeal nutrition facts. It turns out that daily oatmeal will lower bad cholesterol. We’ll see! Before I went vegan, I had high cholesterol levels. My doctor had me on medication. With a vegan lifestyle, my levels went way down — enough that he told me I didn’t need the medication any longer. I’m curious to see how low I can go!
I added one cup of frozen blueberries, two tablespoons of grade B maple syrup, nuts and seeds to this Bob’s Red Mill Scottish Oatmeal this morning. I soaked a 1/2 cup of oats overnight in a pint of water. Then I added half a teaspoon of salt and brought it to a slow boil until it thickened. Tastes great!
I am 199 pounds this morning. I’m maintaining that weight. I hope to go for a long run today. Let’s see how well this breakfast keeps me going. Have a great weekend healthy people!
